Pre-Demolition Evaluation & Monitoring
Tadco performs demolition monitoring for commercial and residential units, from the pre-demolition evaluation process all the way through to leveling.
Why Would I Need A Pre-Demolition Inspection?
Before a demolition, an inspection is a necessary risk assessment in identifying any hazardous environmental contaminants. Some of the most harmful contaminants we look for are:
- PCBs (Polychlorinated biphenyl)
- Asbestos
- Lead
- Radiation
- Petroleum
This analysis also helps identify the scope of work needed to move to the demolition, at the most cost-effective rate.
OUR SERVICES
Tadco’s Pre-Demolition Checklist:
Tadco’s evaluation incorporates the identification, classification, management and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste. We do this by taking soil and groundwater samples present at site.
If hazardous solid waste is found, our trained professionals will choose the superior remediation and disposal options.
Adjacent properties are at risk during demolitions, especially in densely populated neighborhoods. If there’s potential for impact on said units prior to knockdown, we’ll perform foundation shoring design, approval and implementation.
Following the inspection, we will assemble a pre-demolition report. This contains vital information such as the existing building’s condition and surrounding site, and any of the environmental issues and contaminants found onsite.
