How Does Lead Affect My Property?
A source of exposure to lead is in paint, found in homes built prior to 1978, when the Federal government banned it in residential units.
As a known health risk, lead can cause damage to the nervous system and brain, high blood pressure, pregnancy difficulties, and slow
growth in children. Those highest at risk are babies and toddlers, who may unknowingly put lead paint chips in their mouth.

A lead paint inspection is a crucial step in identification of this known health hazard and its removal. It’s incredibly beneficial to property owners and homesellers who want to know where lead-based paint is located.
Tadco’s inspectors and risk assessors investigate for lead by using a Niton XLp 300a Series XRF Analyzer. We start by taking hundreds of samples around the entire home. Following each assessment, we’ll provide a report containing findings and a recommended course of action. Your report tells you how much lead is in the surfaces, as well as remediation options onsite in compliance with N.J.A.C. 5:17-3.2(c).
